COVID-19 (Coronavirus) April 3, 2020 Update
April 3, 2020 Letter
Good afternoon, I hope that this email finds you healthy and safe at home.
As we enter into this Holy Week, we know that it is definitely going to be different than past years. This is alright as ultimately it is about something deeper than just our exterior practices. More than something, it’s about someONE...namely Jesus. Let us take the opportunities to grow closer to Him during this time of social distancing.
In order to help you during this time, we have a number of things to share:
Check out this video about a new take on palms for this Palm Sunday. Fr. Jonathan was a classmate and friend of mine in college seminary in St. Paul, MN. He has a great perspective & idea for us this weekend. Then, remember to take a branch of greenery to place on your front door so we can be united together this Palm Sunday.
We have created a Holy Week at Home page on the parish website to give you access to many resources to listen, read, watch and pray through these holiest of days. We have age appropriate materials for families with young children, teens and young adults and for everyone. Please click here to check out the resources we’ve found for Palm Sunday. We are working on the rest of Holy Week & will email you to let you know when those pieces are in place.
If you’ve been practicing your almsgiving by using the Catholic Relief Service Rice Bowl, you can still finish that up in spite of the current situation. If you would like to return the actual Rice Bowl itself with cash and coins, please bring it to the narthex of church. There is a box next to the small table at each entrance as you enter the narthex. If you would rather give online, we have you covered there too. Simply click here to start your online gift. On the Online Giving form please select the Fund “Special Donations”. Under Special Donations please go to the Memo box and use the dropdown feature. Scroll all the way down to Rice Bowl and select to make a donation. However you choose to do it, know that these funds go to help our brothers and sisters in need in distant lands as well as those in our own neighborhood.
Remember to join us here via live stream at each of the scheduled times below to participate in our Holy Week celebrations.

Easter Vigil in the Holy Night

Good Friday
7 am - 4pm (Church open for prayer)
Holy Saturday

Brothers and sisters, since this Holy Week will be different from any other Holy Week, let’s truly take the time and make the effort to make it truly different in entering more deeply into the mysteries of these days. As we move through them, know of my prayers for you as we unite ourselves together in these beautiful mysteries of Christ.
God Bless,
Fr. Jason
